Hogs For The Cause 2023
The return to normalcy for Hogs 2022 felt as comfortable as an old pair of blue jeans. Tailgate Tigers knocked the rust off with a 4th place, near platform appearance in the Shoulder category. Our fundraising totals for the year kept us on pace with previous years.
Our new featured Pulled Pork Sliders were well received. The Friday night addition of Gary Brown (https://www.facebook.com/gary.brown.50309 ) as our entertainment was a smash hit with everyone in our area.

Tailgate Tigers Grab & Go Annual Hogs Fundraiser
Join us on Friday March 3rd from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM pickup. It’s a don’t miss event with all proceeds benefiting Hogs for the Cause .
Pick up menu will include Spare Ribs, Pulled Pork Sliders, Smoked Chicken Leg Quarters with Dirty Rice. We will offer Baked Beans & Potato Salad as sides.

Hogs For The Cause 2022
After a two year hiatus Tailgate Tigers returns to Hogs For The Cause. This years event returns to the UNO campus and a return to normalcy. Things will be a bit different as Tailgate Tigers will not be featuring the fresh popped Cracklins we have offered for several years. Our featured offering for this year will be Pulled Pork Sliders. Our award winning Pulled Pork on Hawaiian Rolls, with Provolone Cheese and Mayo. Finger licking good.

Tailgate Tigers Annual Fundraiser for Hogs For The Cause
As part of our Tailgate Tigers fundraising effort for Hogs For The Cause we will be having our annual major fundraiser on Saturday March 5th. This will be a “Grab & Go” event with pickup for your orders taking place at our office located at 4141 California Ave Kenner, LA 70065. Pick up will take place from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

$25.00 ½ pan of Chicken & Andouille Jambalaya
Made with Louisiana Craft Butchers own award winning Andouille and Tasso. Half pan should feed four to six people.
$25.00 whole rack of Spare Ribs
Made with double savory and sweet dry rub and sauced. Smoked with Pecan smoke. Closed in metal pan and ready for you to reheat.
$30.00 Pan of 16 Pulled Pork Sliders (prepared with pulled pork, provolone cheese, mayonnaise and barbeque sauce).
Made from Pork Butts injected with Tailgate Tigers award winning Apple/Pineapple Injection, rubbed with our savory and sweet dry rubs, then smoked with Pecan smoke. The sliders are placed on bed of Hawaiian Rolls, mayonnaise added, Provolone Cheese slices, and Tailgate Tigers BBQ sauce complete 16 individual sliders. Sliders are placed in a covered metal pan and ready for warming in the oven.
$20.00 6 large Fried Boudin Balls
Six 6 ounce Boudin Balls, rolled in flour then double drenched in Panko Breadcrumbs before being fried in our Tailgate Tigers Black iron 10 gallon pots. Boudin Balls placed in covered metal plan for warming in the oven.
$22.00 6 large Fried Boudin Balls with Pepper Jack Cheese
The same 6 ounce Balls as above but we add a cube of Pepper Jack Cheese to the center before frying.
$10.00 Smoked Chicken Leg Quarter with Dirty Rice Dressing
Chicken leg quarter smoked on our competition pits with Pecan wood and sauced with our Tailgate Tigers house Barbeque Sauce. The chicken is accompanied by our loose Boudin Dirty Rice Dressing.

Hogs for the Cause
Kick off festival season right … with music, barbecue and community! March 29th – 30th, 2019 Hogs for the Cause returns as the largest. New Orleans welcomes 85 local and regional BBQ masters and the best backyard chefs to compete in seven categories: Whole Hog, Ribs, Pork Butt/Shoulder, Porkpourri, Sauce, Fan Favorite, and Fundraising Champion.
Our barbecue festival is a two-day event full of music, local beer, and fundraising. Both New Orleans musicians and national musical acts will keep you dancing all weekend long to whet your appetite to try every food option from Alabama white sauce to cracklin cochon de lait nachos. On Friday night, we celebrate glorious bacon at Bacon Night, while Saturday is the main event. Join us for the tastiest BBQ festival in New Orleans!

Join us at the beautiful Fair Grounds Racecourse for the Fair Grounds Cochon De Lait. It’s a don’t miss event with all proceeds benefiting Hogs for the Cause and Angels Grove Ranch.
