Time to Place your Orders!
Friends,
Tailgate Tigers is a 501c3 Charity raising funds for families affected by childhood cancer illnesses. We are a competition cooking team and event caterer. Our team members are family and friends, most of whom have cooked in competition events, for festivals around south Louisiana, been part of the professional foodservice industry in our area or just enjoy cooking for large groups of folks.
In 2014 Tailgate Tigers became an official entity to compete in the annual New Orleans Hogs for the Cause event. This event has become New Orleans newest big Spring festival. Hogs for the Cause is a BBQ competition. More importantly, Hogs is a major fund raiser supporting pediatric brain cancer victims and their families. To compete in this event teams must raise a minimum of $2,500 annually to support Hogs for the Cause in addition to covering the cost of your effort.
As a team we have finished as highly ranked as 2nd in the Boston Butt Category in 2018, 3rd in 2019 and 4th of 88 teams in Whole Hog in 2014. In addition our Ribs and other entries have typically been in the top 10 to 20 finishers of the 80 plus teams participating. In 2019 Tailgate Tigers finished 13 of 83 teams for Grand Champion Honors.
Unfortunately the 2020 Hogs For The Cause Event was canceled by the Covid 19 Pandemic. This leaves us with 800 LBS of rendered Cracklins looking for bellies to jump into. Please assist us in our mission to continue to raise funds for our Hogs For The Cause participation by supporting our Craklin-A-Thon fundraiser on Friday July 10. Please refer to the attached flyer for menu, pricing and ordering details.
Thank You for any support of our cause,
Bryan & Vickie Krantz
