It's Spring and W'ere Still Here

Tailgate Tigers Spring Event wasn’t at Fair Grounds this year because of you know what.  Hogs For The Cause isn’t at UNO this year because of you know what.  No problem!

We keep reinventing ourselves as time marches forward and play the cards we are dealt.  Our “grab and go” events have worked well for us in these challenging times so we decided to go bigger.  On Friday March 5th we were able to put together a great Spring Event.  Team member Neil Pessin, who happens to be a pretty good Thoroughbred Trainer, helped us once again by organizing our sales at Fair Grounds.  Between the Fair Grounds supporters and our other network of supporters we once again have had a successful event.  With the two other events this year Tailgate Tigers after expenses should contribute near $10,000 to Hogs For The Cause this cycle.

With the experience from this year, I am pretty comfortable we can continue to fundraise through quarterly events and continue to provide new and interesting menu items for those who have been such loyal supporters of Tail Gate Tigers.

Our backbone through the work of organizing and producing the menu items we sell or events we put on are Ronnie & Bill Labarriere, Mike Allain, Vickie Krantz and Carrie Ezell.  Our team is comprised of a wonderful group of family and friends who are selfless in their efforts for our charity efforts but these folks have been there every time the bell rings.  I can’t thank them enough and their work.
